Prompt

Recreate the person in the uploaded photo as a 1990s high-school yearbook portrait while keeping their face and identity unchanged. Head-and-shoulders pose turned slightly to the side, a mottled blue-grey studio backdrop, soft diffused flash, slightly warm film colours and gentle grain. Give them a period look: [feathered hair and a denim jacket over a turtleneck]. Subtle soft-focus glow, cropped like a printed yearbook photo.

Where this trend comes from

The AI yearbook craze first exploded on TikTok in autumn 2023 through a photo app that turned selfies into 90s school portraits, and it has stayed one of the most requested retro prompts since.
