What is the AI Banana Tree Run Video?
The banana tree run is October 2026's most impossible AI clip: someone sprinting across the tops of banana plants on a hillside, leaping from leaf to leaf as if the giant leaves were stepping stones. Upload one photo and this template makes your version, with the green hills, the red dirt path far below and a camera that chases you from the side.
The running version took off on 15 October 2026, when a Ugandan creator posted himself racing across a banana plantation. It passed 1.8 million views and 160,000 likes, and how-to videos followed the next morning under names like "AI running on banana trees", "banana tree trend" and "walking on banana leaves". A French how-to passed 780,000 views and an Arabic one 1.5 million. Clips of people stepping on banana leaves had floated around since early 2026, but the sprint-and-leap is the one everyone is copying now.
The template runs in two steps: an image model builds the mid-leap shot from your photo, keeping your face, body and clothes, then a video model plays the run with sound. You get an 8-second vertical clip with no watermark. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.
What makes the clip work
The trick is scale. Banana plants are taller than a person, so seeing someone running across their tops, with a dirt path far below, looks impossible and real at the same time. The template keeps the overcast light, the hillside and the side-on follow camera of the original, so it reads as the trend at once.
Which photo to use
One adult, alone in the picture, face clear and ideally the whole body in view. The clothes and shoes in your photo are the ones you run in, so pick an outfit you like. Avoid sunglasses and heavy filters for the best likeness.
