What is the AI Giant Cat Ride?
The AI giant cat ride template imagines a city where the bike-share docks hold cats instead of bikes. In your clip, a row of horse-sized domestic cats in leather saddles is parked along a sunny sidewalk, each next to a docking post. You tap your phone on the post, it beeps and turns green, and the grey tabby in front of you steps out, meows loudly and stretches its front legs low to the ground with its tail up. You swing a leg over, settle into the saddle, and the cat stands up and walks off down the sidewalk with you on its back.
The idea spread on TikTok in autumn 2026 as a soft, whimsical alternative to the usual AI effects: no explosions, just an everyday routine with an absurd twist. Cat owners loved it, and so did anyone who has ever fought with a bike-share app.
Upload one photo of yourself. An image model builds the dock scene with you standing beside your cat, then a video model animates the unlock, the stretch and the ride. The 6-second clip comes with generated audio: an acoustic guitar and whistle tune, the beep, a meow and paw steps. It takes about two to three minutes, and there is no watermark. Examples here were made from AI-generated fictional people.
The scene, beat by beat
The clip follows the same beats as a bike-share unlock. Phone to the post, a beep, a green light. Then the cat takes over: it steps out of its dock, opens its mouth to meow, and does a big front-leg stretch with its tail up, the way real cats do after a nap. You climb into the saddle and it stands and walks off. Other giant cats, tabby, orange and black-and-white, stay parked in the row behind you.
The camera is static at eye level, so every beat stays in frame.
Want your own cat in it?
This template uses a generic grey tabby so it works from one photo of you. If you want your own pet as the star of a different effect, the AI cat dance template animates a photo of your cat, and the pet-to-human template shows what your cat or dog would look like as a person.
For another everyday-meets-magic ride, the AI flying broom template puts you on a broomstick in scooter traffic.
