What is the Dancing Crocodiles AI Trend: Dance in Sync With an Alligator?
The dancing crocodiles are the meme of early November 2026: two alligators stand up on their hind legs beside a golf course bunker and dance in perfect sync, as if they had been practising all week. Upload one photo and this template puts you on the grass next to an alligator, hitting the same moves.
The clip comes from @humantix, an account that posts AI animals copying viral dances. Its first croc dance, posted on 11 June 2026 with "The crocs are trying to get in on the viral dance action at the local golf course", passed 13.5 million views and 1.8 million likes, and a second one on 16 July reached 6.5 million. In late October the meme came back with the sound "oh my god its all crocodile": a black-and-white repost captioned for a three-day weekend reached 2.8 million views on 27 October, and by 2 November people were copying the dance themselves in an elevator, at 1.6 million views. The #dancingcrocodiles tag passed 3 million views in a week.
The template runs in two steps: an image model puts you next to an upright alligator on the golf course, then a video model plays 8 seconds of the synced dance with an original beat. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.
What happens in the video
0-2 s: you and the alligator bounce on bent knees side by side. 2-4 s: you both swing an arm up and point. 4-6 s: a side step and a hip wiggle, the tail swishing. 6-8 s: you both freeze in the same pose and look at the camera.
Are the dancing crocodiles real?
No. The viral clips are AI videos: the top comment on the original spotted that "the golf cart in the back is driving itself". Real alligators are dangerous and do not dance. This template makes the whole scene with AI from your photo.
Which photo to use
One adult, head to toe if you can, face clear and toward the camera, good light. Any background works: the golf course and the alligator come from the template. Use your own photo or one of a friend who said yes, never a celebrity or a stranger.
